Bill Milner is to play Erik, the younger version of Michael Fassbender's character Magneto in Matthew Vaughn's X-MEN: FIRST CLASS, which will chart the epic beginning of the X-Men saga.
Charlie Rowe, who played a younger version of Andrew Garfield, in the up-coming Never Let Me Go, has been cast as the young Charles, (Professor X) (played by James McAvoy).
Before Charles Xavier and Erik Lensherr took the names Professor X and Magneto, they were two young men discovering their powers for the first time. Before they were archenemies, they were closest of friends, working together, with other Mutants (some familiar, some new), to stop the greatest threat the world has ever known. In the process, a rift between them opened, which began the eternal war between Magneto’s Brotherhood and Professor X’s X-Men.
It was announced yesterday that Morgan Lily will play young "Raven" which as "X-Men" fans know, is the first name of Mystique, who will be portrayed in the film by Jennifer Lawrence.
Production of the film begins on August 23rd in London, with "X-Men: First Class" set to storm into theatres in the US on June 3, 2011.
