Young Xavier

With Charlie Rowe now in Ireland and Italy for three months shooting the lead role of Peter in SyFy's Neverland, the role of Young Xavier in X-Men:First Class has fallen to Laurence Belcher. 14 year old Laurence from Surrey will play the younger version of Charles Xavier, whose adult version is played by James McAvoy.

Acting from a young age, Laurence (represented by Curtis Brown) received rave reviews for his stage role playing 12 year old Holly in The Late Middle Classes at the Donmar Warehouse in London, and is also a talented singer with roles in various musicals including Whistle Down the Wind, Scrooge The Musical and Oliver. He has also been cast in the Dr Who Christmas Special.
