Evanna Lynch, who starred as Luna Lovegood in the Harry Potter films, has joined the cast of Monster Butler, the indie crime thriller starring Malcolm McDowell, Gary Oldman, Dominic Monaghan, and Joanne Whalley according to THR.
The 20 year old Irish actress will play Fiona Carrick-Smith, who is intrigued by her upper class family’s new and seemingly all-knowing butler. Seeing him as an older, wiser confidant, she confesses her misgivings for her upcoming marriage and her longing for dangerous excitement. She soon acts on her desired with butler, acts of reckless behaviour that lead to betrayal and tragedy.
A fan of the Harry Potter books, Evanna's acting career began when she competed in an open audition against nearly fifteen thousand girls, and won the coveted role of Luna Lovegood in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, and then went on to appear in the next three films in the franchise. She also has a guest role in the upcoming Sky series Sinbad.
Monster Butler begins shooting in Scotland this week.
